Workshop – 101 W Church St
The purpose of the workshop is to provide a venue to help design, cut, shape and paint race cars for anyone that wants help. The tools, guidance, support and supplies are all provided by men who love the Lord. The only item not provided would be additional weights needed to meet the weight specifications. The workshop is an optional activity and not required to participate on race day.
Pre-Race Trials – 7150 N Weary Rd
Pre-Race trials day is an opportunity to make sure car specs are met and each car can successfully make it down the track. If something needs “tweaking,” our “Grand Prix mechanics” will be available to assist the participants with any needed alterations or adjustments. Our goal is to provide the contestants with every reasonable opportunity to be prepared for the race, alleviate any anxiety, and to fully enjoy the Grand Prix experience. Race trials day is not required for contestants to participate on race day, but many first time Grand Prix students and parents alike have appreciated this opportunity.
Race Day – 7150 N Weary Rd
The purpose of race day is for family, friends & the entire community to have fun! We will be presenting trophies on race day, but this is not our primary goal. It is more about the fellowship, sportsmanship, gamesmanship and overall experience of simply having fun with family, friends and community. We will have a short intermission during the event to discuss the importance of faith, family and freedom. We will have food at the event for all to enjoy. So, we hope you come to join us on a Wisconsin winter day for a combination of faith, family, food & fun!
Games on Race Day
Games will be held on the perimeter of the racetrack on Race Day to add to the fun! Even though the Awana Grand Prix is the centerpiece of the day, the games for kids and adults provide fun for all when participants are not racing. Participants will be called prior to their division race so they don’t need to worry about being late for their race. This provides a fun atmosphere for all!
