Upcoming Events Vacation Bible School (VBS). You won’t want to miss a week full of fun and games at Oak Grove Church’s VBS program: SonQuest Rainforest! During the week of August 1-6th kids ages 4 thru entering 6th grade will take part in fun activities, creative crafts, joyful singing, Bible learning, delicious snacking and friend making! Join us each evening from 6-8pm for a rip roarin’ adventure through the rainforest. Friends are welcome. Doors open for last minute registration at 5:30 pm on August 1st. T-shirts can also be ordered. And if you order ahead of time, we’ll have your shirt ready on the first night. Additional Information for Parents… VBS is FREE!!! Parents are welcome to drop off their children and are not obligated to stay. Please be on time for drop off and pick up since we will make every effort to start and end on time. Each night, a paper will be sent home describing what we did that night and what will happen the next. One day will be a water/messy day. Please watch for that announcement and dress your child accordingly! Friday night will be a family night. Bring the whole family and see what your kids have been doing all week. We’ll have a fun craft for you to do with your child and snacks for everyone. Kids will also be performing with their class that night, so you won’t want to miss it! T-shirts are available. At OGC we strive to build up and equip the members of our family for the challenges that life presents. The Christian Education committee is a team of people who are committed to providing quality Christ-centered training for adults and children. At OGC we believe that the Bible is the final authority for our lives and is uniquely relevant for our lives. We strive to equip others with the tools they need to read and understand God’s Word for themselves. At OGC we encourage and welcome open and honest discussion about all areas of life. We believe that since the Bible is completely dependable and true (without error in the principles that it teaches) that we can ask difficult questions and wrestle with our genuine doubts.

At OGC Christian Education is about more than learning facts and accumulating knowledge, it is about life transformation. We teach with the goal of applying the Word of God to our lives, for ^ESV 2 Timothy 3:16-17 “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work.” The Christian Education committee supports Sunday school classes for all ages, children’s church, midweek Bible studies, and special activities like children’s outreach, Vacation Bible School, and an annual children’s Christmas Pageant.
